DECORATIVE ASPHALT & STAMPED CONCRETE: RDU Paving provides Decorative Concrete and Asphalt including stamped concrete, StreetPrint, pervious pavers, and pervious pavement. Decorative Asphalt and Concrete have different construction processes. The Decorative Asphalt is also known as Stamped Asphalt or StreetPrint. For Stamped Asphalt, the area must either already be paved or newly paved. The asphalt is then reheated, and a template is imprinted into the asphalt in the design of your choice. Many customers prefer the traditional brick appearance. Once the asphalt has been imprinted with the template, the coating is then applied in the customer’s choice. Again, many customers like the traditional brick appearance. The CVS in Wake Forest is one of our signature projects and can be viewed on our home page slide show here.  With Decorative Concrete, the color and texture is added during the initial concrete paving/construction process. Decorative Concrete has numerous options for colors and textures to meet each customer’s needs.

PAVERS: RDU Paving installs specialty pavers for both residential driveways and commercial parking lots. Pavers are typically much more expensive than stamped asphalt and decorative concrete, but many customers prefer the traditional pavers for their project. RDU Paving can work with you to select the product that meets your long term project goals. 

WHEEL STOPS: RDU Paving, Inc. is also skilled at installing wheel stops. Wheel stops or bumper blocks are traditionally made of concrete. However, recycled rubber and plastic wheel stops are also available to special order. The City of Raleigh frequently requests the more environmentally-friendly recycled plastic wheel stops on their properties, while other customers prefer the standard concrete bumper blocks installed with rebar.

TRAFFIC DELINEATORS & BOLLARDS: We can also install traffic control devices such as delineators and bollards. Traffic delineators are commonly needed at schools in order to effectively manage the pedestrian and vehicle traffic. We frequently install new bollards in retail shopping center parking lots and well as repair existing ones. 

SPECIALTY SIGNAGE: Specialty signage including directional signs, handicap signs, and no parking signs are also services that RDU Paving provides. We can install simple handicap or directional signage on a u-channel post into the grass, or we can construct a stronger sign placement with a concrete footing. We also have heavier, fabricated specialty signs that we install. 

ADA & HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY: RDU Paving can address any ADA Handicap Accessibility requirements for line striping, sidewalks, and concrete & asphalt slopes. RDU Paving has performed numerous projects for general contractors and customers correcting ADA issues to expedite the Certificate of Occupancy (CO) issuance. RDU Paving can repair sidewalks with sunken, raised, or broken concrete areas that create trip hazards for residents and visitors. 

DRAINAGE REPAIRS: Additionally, if you need help with drainage or erosion control, we can regrade the area, install a drain, add a swale, or install erosion control matting. We encounter numerous driveways where the driveway has washed away. Our aim is to permanently fix the problem rather than just adding gravel or repaving the driveway. Many drainage issues require more complex solutions. An experienced grading and paving contractor should examine your driveway to devise the best solution in the long-term.
